Birthday supper :)
Friends took me out for an early birthday supper. It was my first real occasion out since surgery and I'm so happy! We sat in a booth, I FIT with room to spare! No sucking in the gut, and doing the embarrassing little booth-wiggle-dance just to scoot myself in. I loved having room to breathe, too. Eating while turning blue just wasn't a good thing.. But it's in the past! We went to Texas Roadhouse and I had ribs, chili, and a potato. Couple of spoons of chili, couple of nibbles of soft rib meat, one swirl of the fork in the middle of baked potato, and I was done! I am in control of my food for the first time in my life. It's so totally liberating!!! Despite a rough start and many days of buyers remorse from feeling so sick and tired, I am now very happy with my surgery! Y'all predicted things would get better! You were right!!!

Comfortably full :) I couldn't measure, but I chewed slowly and put down my utensils between bites. I'm just now beginning to eat more foods that make me feel full and stomach nerves must be healing, too. It's an interesting feeling... different kind of full than before surgery. But not a bad thing!
