Knotted string --- weird incision question?

Hi all - I am 5.5 weeks out and my incisions (laparoscopic) had all been closed with glue and internal dissolvable stitches, so I had nothing to be taken out (staples/stitches). But for the last like 2 weeks I have this one giant thread hanging out of the side of my middle lap site and it's driving me crazy. There's a knot at the base of it and I tried just gently yanking it (my sites are all well healed at this point) but it's in there. Did anyone else have this? I don't see it dissolving, it's just hanging out...Thanks!

I had a stitch that was poking out of the incision site after my recent biopsy.  I ended up snipping it where it poked out.  It was bugging me.

I was "spitting" stitches for months after my TT - once I could get a grip on them, I pulled them out - those suckers are very irritating!

Thanks guys! I guess I'll just take a nail clipper to it. I have another one slightly poking out at another site too but this one is long and really annoying (I can't stop wanting to pull it!). Thanks!

I mentioned it to my NP at the Surgeon's office one visit, and she took a pair of tweezers and gently pulled and it came out. 

I had the same glue/dissolvable stitches.  

Mine were the same. My surgeon snipped them all down to skin level at my first post-op visit. No more nuisance threads!!!!
