TRASHED!!!!! don't make bets with me!!!
a sista on here wrote this on my thread yesterday " I bet you could make a trash bag look couture! "
and I am just THAT goofy to take her up on that bet .... did I prove her right?????....
In less than three minutes (yes I had DH timed me) I cut out the bottom of a 30 gal trash bag ..... pulled the yellow draw strings towards the center ... threw it over my head ... pulled the rear loop of the draw strings over my head towards the front for an awesome choker ... pulled the front loop over my head towards the rear for a thin halter strap.... grabbed my silver bag and stuck my feet into to patent heels .... OMG can someone say G.O.O.F.Y. LOL....
I am having fun with this .... So this day I am rocking my TRASHED look with a trashbag and a purse oh and a piece of duct tape exactly 23 inches long the size of my waist and it looped over in the back too .... WOOT!!! I used to be a snug size 4-5X...
ohhhhhhhhh and I had to make my comparison collage for my digital empowerment journal 'A Picture A Day Keeps the Pounds and the Inches Away' ... I tried to find a picture to match my trashed look...
Then I ripped the trash bag off and got back into my work clothes that I had taken off when I remembered I had told my OH sista making the bet that I would indeed make myself a trashbag dress .... and I did ... WOOT! ... back in my clothes I am off to work ....
Give me some scissors, some fabric, a needle, my sewing machine, my paintbrushes, my palette and my canvas and I am oohhhhhhhhh sooooooooo having fun!!! oh an hair too ... because life before and now is totally fulfilling ... with newfound energy to spare, health and mobility there is no stopping this old goofy sista on the journey....
Thanks for allowing me to share another goofy thread ....
6 years and 5 months (in three days) post RNY ... 203 pounds lost and gone for-ever ... I am in control and I am keeping it off ... one day at a time... one choice at a time....
TRASHED!!! MAKING A GARBAGE BAG LOOK COUTURE ... LOL ....
Thanks. I have to thank my mom (RIP) and growing up on a farm where our old timers believed that ones hands could never be idle... Mom was an awesome seamstress and we were stuck with the task of picking up pins and needles then we progressed to hemming and cutting the basting threads ... then she showed us how to sew ....we all hated it because we wanted to go outside and play ... to think we all turned out to be able to rock a sewing machine and fabric of any kind....
Are you KIDDING me! LOL Ok, you totally proved my point! IT LOOKS freaking adorable on you! You could wear that to a club and everyone would want one! Your waist is so itty bitty small, I love it! What is that quote, its not the clothing that make's the woman beautiful, its the woman! Well i don't think that is the quote, but isn't there a quote something like that? You are amazing and wonderful! Thank you for the big smile to start off my day!
