Unfortunately, the entire hospital network here doesn't have one.  There are  5 full service hospitals in two counties in that same network but no lithotripsy machine! It is on some kind of a truck that goes to different hospitals on various dates. The is a second hospital network in this area, but my urologist doesn't have privileges there.

My PCP did put me on STD from last Friday afternoon through next week. He filled out the paperwork Friday (God bless the Internet... we were able to get the forms online and print them in his office) and I submitted the online leave request Friday night after I got back from having the CT scan.

Three more days... Just three more days.

I always fret when I go out on STD.  Sometimes you just have to say the hell with it and get better.  Gosh I hope you feel better soon, I've had kidney stones before and that was worse than squeezing a baby out of my body.

Good gosh, this sounds miserable.  I'm glad you are on short term med leave, clearly it was too stressful with all that pain to try and work too.  I've heard kidney stones are some of the worst pain ever...so sorry you are going through this.   I hope Wednesday comes quickly and that you can finally be past the worst of it.

Sorry you are still suffering, apparently that travelling machine is pretty common, my bf's cousin had to wait for it to show up also when she had to have her's broken up.  I know that pain is excruciating because I have honestly never seen my bf begging to go to the hospital in the 11 yrs we have been together.  I hope you can get hem broken up soon and feel better.
