Tomorrow is my surgery! I have not been required to follow a pre-op diet, however I was instructed to just eat "moderate" meals before hand. Then tonight I'm supposed to eat a "light" supper between 5:00-6:00. What exactly does a "light" supper mean? Soup? Salad? I want to make sure that after surgery I will have an easier recovery time.

I would say anything not real high in fat, and in a moderate portion.  You could have soup and salad, or a sandwich depending on the filling, or chicken and veggies, etc.  Don't do a cheeseburger, fries and dessert.  Eat something yummy you like, but something at least kinda healthy.
