if you make oxelate stones, the nephrologist I see says take 500 mgs of calcium citrate, as it binds it, making it less likely to make stones. So I take 500 mgs of calcium with each meal. So far so good, since we finally got piece to test.. and find out that I make oxelate stones, and the other thing he informed me was to limit my salt intake, as that also contributes to stones in general.

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.

This is why I stopped eating most meat and what I do eat is lean poultry, I keep my protein grams to no more then 45, eat brown rice daily, avoid grains, avoid fats, chemicals and white carbs and I drink tons of lemon infused iced tea/water.  My weight/labs/health are all good.

Hi Lora, do you have sources for this....it's great stuff and I wanted to share it, if it's okay, with my doc.

I have saved links for some of it... somewhere (not sure which computer I was using at the time).  I will see if I can dig them up, but it won't be until Monday.

I have had chronic issues with uric acid stones and my urologist recommended that increasing water intake to 100oz. would greatly reduce the risk of recurrence.
