I have been MIA for the most of the week. I had my one week follow up today. I felt great after surgery except my G tube about drove me BONKERS!! I have never been so glad to see something go. It was very uncomfortable and hurt when I coughed, sneezed, laughed or anything like that. But it is out now and I am already feeling so much better. So here is the update on everything.

My first SV........I lost 18 lbs on the liquid pre op and 12 since surgery on May 30th. Yeap I am down 30 lbs! I got a little misty eyed when I saw that.

My first NSV.......I have a pair of pajama pants that I LOVE. I stopped wearing them because they got snug and I was uncomfortable. Well I tried them on and they fit! I was so happy!

I am walking a lot and getting in about 80 oz of water. I am struggling with getting in my protein as everything smells and taste awful. I started soft foods today and for my first meal I had a little bit of refried beans that I thinned with a little broth.

So that is my update. I will be on more now that I am back home from San Diego.

Glad to hear that things are going well for you.  That is awesome about the pajamas!  There is nothing like a comfy pair of pajamas....... sounds like these were a trusty ole friend!!!!  Please post often.  I am in the presurgery phase.  It is so encouraging to hear from others how things are going.

YAY! I am so happy to see this update! AWESOME news on the weight loss and fitting in your jammies!

Question--what is a G tube?

I feel like we all have such different surgeries for the same procedure, lol!

Please consult your surgeon & nutritionist for how to do it their way.  Biggest regret? Not doing this 10 years ago! Every day is better than the day before...and it was a pretty great day!

The G tube ran from my old stomach out to my left side. If I was not able to get in my protein or fluids I could put them through there. Works great but I found mine to be very uncomfortable.
