Are cucumbers or tomatoes ok at this level?

I was not supposed to have raw veggies until I was on a regular diet but could eat cooked tomatoes on a soft diet (like diced tomatoes in chili, for instance).  Since all docs seem to have different guidelines, I would check with yours if you have questions.

Hmm, once again I think my NUT is really lacking. She said nothing to me about raw vegetables except 'some people have trouble with lettuce.' My surgery was on 17-APR-13 and I've been eating raw tomatoes without problem--they help me get the tuna fish down! I've only tried one little slice of cucumber and didn't have any trouble with it but it does make me a tad nervous. I understand we all have different programs to follow; I kind of feel like I'm on the 'winging it' program. Thank goodness I get good advice on this site!

I also had surgery on April 17th, and at the one month appointment I was cleared to eat all vegetables, except corn and celery. Of course, even eating tomatoes and cucumbers at this point, one has to chew them really well. Each surgeon and NUT is going to have different programs. I have not had any problem with any of the vegetables I have eaten so far, including tomatoes and cucumbers.
