I really need to get back on track with my eating.  I have 3 more weeks until my final weigh in with the nutritionist. I need her to give me the "all clear" for surgery. She will only do that if I show I've made positive changes and really applied the guidelines she gave me. I need to lose a total of 13 more pounds before surgery.

I am committing to myself and to you, my OH friends, to lose 6 pounds by my next weigh in. That's 2 pounds a week- not unrealistic at all. Think I can do it???    Wish me luck!

Won't you easily drop 13 lbs in a 2 week liquid diet? I would do at least a week of liquid diet and keep a food and feelings journal while you are on it. I have been keeping a food and feelings journal since Jan 2 of this year. If it goes in my mouth-even gum-it goes in the journal.

6 lbs in a week would not be unreasonable on full liquids and exercise! :)

Hmm I don't know! I've never done a full liquid diet!  I will probably try that the week before my appt.  Right now I'm just going to try to eat according to the recommendations she provided and see how that works for me.  Thanks for the info!

Honestly, just play the game. Drink protein shakes 3 times a day and have a sensible dinner. Just lose it and get the all clear. Nod and smile and tell her what she wants to hear to get your date. I needed surgery to lose weight. Period. I did not lose a single pound in my 6 months diet for insurance. Pre-op loss does not guarantee post-op compliance. I learned it as I went along.
