Ok, I could use some help here.  I am 8 1/2 months out, have lost 110 pounds and would like to lose at least 70 more.  I have been doing great, slow and steady, but this last month (3 1/2 weeks) the scale has not moved.  I'm wondering if I'm eating to little, eating to much, or right on track.  Anyone that can help, I really appreciate it.

Todays food logged the following:

Calories 1550 for the day

Carbs 106

Protein - 117

I have started to work out 20 minutes a day on an elliptical machine.

thanks for your help!

Dina

I am almost the same post op as you, and I eat about 900-1000 calories on a good. I get in 90 grams of protein and about 40 carbs. What kind of carbs are you taking in?

On days that I get closer to 1100 calories those are high workout days. I do 45 mins of cardio, about 3 miles jogging then weights.

So based on the guidelines I was given at 8-9 months we should be eating around 1000-1100 calories. less then 75 carbs, and 90-100 grams of protein. But every plan is different.

At almost a year and under goal I'm still lucky to get in 1100 a day. If I were you I'd cut back some of those carbs and calories or up the exercise, I don't exercise so I did it by food alone.

I will be nine months out on the 27th and my nutritionist just okayed me to start eating 1200 calories a day. However I am about 10 pounds away from her goal. I think I'm going to shoot for about a thousand calories a day until I reach my goal, which is another 25 pounds.

gastric bypass rule of thumb. get all your protein in and all your fluids in..... thats it. no more monitoring calories.... yea, try and keep low carb, fat, and sugar.... but if you get all ur protein in, eat ur protein first in your meals and save the delicious carbs for last... u should def be full before getting to the carbs or only after eating a couple bites. i'm convinced. protein and fluids. thats all you need to know and the weight will continue to fall off. keep up the exercise, but ya.... i'll say it again... protein and fluids! thats the key to this lifestyle and everything else is just details....

My nutritionist has a 'top calorie' range of 1200 post surgery, that there is no reason to exceed that. The goal set for me is 1000 a day. Right now I am closer to 500, but I had surgery a week ago Monday, so working on getting foods in beyond protein drinks and yogurt. I did try some tuna today after I got the okay from my surgeon. Sticking to liquid for at least another day! :)
