Making Kool Aid with Splenda?

Since i now have these large kidney stones, I am giving up diet soda again (except for the rare special occasion).  I can only drink so much plain water, though, so I need to increase my options for flavored drinks (and don't want to spend the money on Propel, etc. all the time).  Has anyone used Splenda or something similar to sweeten a packet of regular Kool Aid?

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.

I think it has on the splenda container the measurement equivalents. So you would use whatever the equivalent is to 1 cup of regular sugar. I use the ones that already have the artificial sweetener included.

I'm pre-op but do love Kool-Aid.

I have some pre-sweetened Cherry, but the Mango Peach only comes in a regular packet, not SF...

I have, and I think it is awful.  I used Truvia and the after-taste was too much for me.  And it was too sweet.  My 5-year old daughter loves it, but that doesn't surprise me.  I have no problem with other drinks made with Splenda or other sweeteners, and never thought any sweetener had an after-taste, but the amount of Truvia I used was just too much (it was something like 24 individual packets).

I have both Splenda and Truvia, so I will be cautious about how much I add.  Thanks for the heads up.

I make my kids Kool-Aid with Splenda. I use a third of a cup of Splenda with 2 quarts of water and one 1 packet of Kool-Aid. For some reason it gets very foamy when I first mix it but settles down. I don't drink much of it as I prefer water but I think it tastes okay and my kids don't complain about.

I really!! like the Hawaiian Punch sugar free drink sticks (sold by the Crystal Light). They take me back to my childhood and I get to skip the fakey taste of the Crystal Light.

I haven't tried to make kool-aid with it, but I am going to give that a try and see... mmm grape kool-aid! I use the Mio water flavors, and find that little bottle goes a very long way, and i can just add a few drops per glass at a time.

Have you tried some of the flavored waters?  That's all I drink and there are a TON of different ones out now.  Dasani makes a grape one that tastes just like grape Kool-Aid.  Also, Kool-Aid makes 2 kinds (I think grape and cherry) and Orange Crush makes a great one.  They are really good.

Yes, I have several that I like (love Propel Grape, both bottled and the flavor packets), but they get to be a little pricey.
