How long did it take to sleep in your normal bed? Since I came home Wednesday I have been sleeping propped up on my couch. If I lay back even with double pillows ir on my side it hurts and feels like something is pulling and not in a good way. My poor hubby thinks I dont like him anymore lol

I have been sleeping in my bed since I came home. I use a pillow to prop my stomach so that it doesn't hurt. I don't have to use the pillow any longer. Had surgery on May 6.

I too have been sleeping in my bed since I came home from surgery with no pain or problems.  Hope you can enjoy that too soon!

I had surgery on May 6th and I have been sleeping in my bed for a week. I can't sleep on my left side but I can on my right. My first night home I slept on the couch but after that I would just prop myself up on a couple of pillows and sleep on my back. I hope you can get a good nights sleep soon.

I was in the recliner a week or two. Lying in bed didn't really cause pain per say, it just wasn't comfortable. After that, I slept in bed...first on my back, then my side. Now I'm back to my normal sleeping patterns which is all over the bed

My RNY was open, so I slept in the recliner for a long time, but I have had several lap surgeries, and when I didn't have a recliner, I slept propped in bed the whole time, and gradually reduced the incline.  When I had my gallbladder out, I slept in the recliner for several days.

Try putting a pillow in between your legs if you can sleep on your side.  That helped me a lot.

I've been sleeping normally since my hospital stay. They let me sleep in bed and curl up in the fetal position when I asked. I think I was really lucky- not among the majority.
