OT (sorta) - Formal date night with DH, NSV w/pics

So, when I went out last week and tried on a formal dress, my DH asked if I got it cause he thought it looked so good...this one

Well, having no place or event to wear it to, I told him no, I did not.  So, we have since decided, we don't NEED an event to wear it to...we are going to start having formal date nights...so the dress became my Mother's Day gift (I was SO excited)...and we will be hitting the town in our formal wear hopefullly some night before he leaves to Minnesota next month.

Anyway, it felt so good to see me...ME, put on a fitted mermaid style dress...are you kidding me?  Never in a MILLION YEARS would I have imagined wearing a dress like this...but it felt so good, I went out AGAIN...and tried MORE formals on...for MORE formal date nights!  I love the fact that my hubby kinda suggested it.  Well, it was more of a "well I guess we have to MAKE a reason to wear it" statement...close enough ;) 

But talk about feeling sexy!  Nothing will make you feel better than going out and putting something on that you would never have imagined wearing...I tell ya, it's one of the BEST feelings in the world.

So here's what I found...the silver sequins and the black and teal are my next buys for date nights...my DH won't be bac****il around Thanksgiving time, and will be here until after New Years, so we will have PLENTY of chances to strut our formal stuff!

Life is so amazing!  My DH and I are hitting the gym together...he's losing and buffing up...I'm toning...we are going to turn heads for our date nights!!

Ladies, I strongly suggest the window shopping...even if you don't buy anything...dare to try something amazing on...it feels GREAT!!

GORGEOUS!!!! DH and I have formal date nights ALL THE TIME and we also do it with our groups of friends ... we have an "Oldies Keeping the Flame Going" group that we belong to ... last night we had awesome fun ... I wore a green gown of the MANY that I have ... 

You look absolutely FABULOUS .... and your DH sounds like an awesome guy too ... and I so agree with you guys ... you don't need an even to wear it to ...

Formal date night in Colorado would involve clean jeans LOL!!!    I used to go to a lot of formal (embassy etc) dinners with my ex-husband and had a few formal dresses - sadly, (for the formal nights, NOT the ex!) those days are gone!

Thank you!  At the same time we picked up the dress, I also got a couple pairs of boots, so I will be rockin knee high suede boots and jeans too...lol...had to cover bike night dates too...lol

I've bought a few and borrowed a few since WLS.  I absolutely feel beautiful in a formal and love trying them on.  The pink you bought is gorgeous and I adore the black one.  Kudos, you look amazing!
