Prenatal vitamins
Huh? What is in them that is not in regular vitamins that causes increased appetite? That makes no sense at all.
Please note: I AM NOT A DOCTOR. If you want medical advice, talk to your doctor. Whatever I post, there is probably some surgeon or other health care provider somewhere that disagrees with me. If you want to know what your surgeon thinks, then ask him or her. Check out my blog.

Depends on the brand. Read the label.

The ASMBS says to use a multi with 100% of the RDA of most things. Make sure it has minerals like copper, zinc and selenium. Take two a day.

The prenatal that I am on does not have everything we need, such as cooper, selenium, vitamin K, magnesium, etc. My surgeon's office has me on one prenatal (because the folic acid and B vitamins in particular are higher and necessary when preggo) and one multivitamin. I can't speak for all prenatals, but I would compare what you are looking at with a typical multi. I think you'll find that most are not complete.

My centre suggests prenatal vitamins. I bought the Costco brand and they were approved when I went for my pre op the other day.
