Yep, it's kidney stones again
Lora, I have passed large kidney stones and bilateral knee replacements so I feel like I might be able to offer a little encouragement. My stones developed before WLS and even though now, I have 4 large ones, I hope they stay put for a while. They are no fun. The stiffness I had in my knees post op lasted over 12 months. You are not fully recovered from the knee replacement for up to a year. The stiffness gets better but you have to be patient. I wish I had known this when I had my surgery in 2009. Just keep moving it often, even when sitting down. It does get better, but there are still times my knees get stiff. I was also told that it was easier for a 70 year old person recover from knee replacement surgery than younger ones, as they have less muscle to rehabilitate. You would have thought that I would have known that, having been a nurse for 30+ years...lol! Good luck and keep moving.

Yea, my surgeon said at least 6 months to have complete "normal" use of the knee, with follow-up at 1 year (so I figured there would be some lingering stiffness beyond that). I suspect that I have not been drinking as much since the knee surgery (I drink more at work) and that may be contributing to the stones... or maybe the ones I already had just decided to move. I do feel much better (still achy back) since the one passed.
Will see what the ultrasound shows and what the doc says...

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.
Sorry to hear about your health issues! I'd just like to add that it was one full year before I gained better mobility and less stiffness after my knee replacement. I was never told that before the surgery and it made for a very long recovery! I can say now that I am happy I had the replacement. I hope you are out of pain soon!
