Summer Cold, What can I take... 11 days out post-op

I can't believe this but I have a really bad summer cold... My head is stopped up I have drainage down my throat.... Coughing, headache, just don't feel good...

 

 

I don't know what I can take... I have looked through my information and nothing in there about what you can take for anything...

 

Any information would help

Top it off I am dehydrated still and I have been not taking my Zrtec because that just drys me out more...

 

My resting heart rate is running between 94 - 109...

I don't take anything for  a cold to be honest, but you would be fine with Dayquil and Nyquil or any cold remedy that has acetaminophen and NOT ibuprofen or aspirin ...

You need to make the effort to stay hydrated - it is more important than food when you are early out or unwell.

I had a nasty cold 6 days out and took liquid NyQuil and DayQuil. It helped enough that i could actually sleep. Just be aware that the meds may react differently so don't drive, etc.

Read the label to look for something that is not an NSAID

Surgeon told me I can take Mucinex, Sudafed etc.
