Need the non-single-digit-clothing-size folks to make themselves known
Hi Lora,
Wow, bless your heart! I have loved your posts and answers and suggestions from the moment I hit these boards back in December.
You are making such a difference in so many of our lives. I thank you for that.
So sad to hear about the old negative messages but look at you! Just jumped on here and stated what was what and look at all the great responses.
God bless you and this too shall pass.
Hello - I am almost 18 months out and I have pretty much stopped losing for the last 6 months. So I consider myself done and in maintenance mode. Though to lose 10 lbs more would make me happy though I wonder if I would start to look too thin. Anyhow, I mostly wear L size shirts and am a size 10 in pants. I have one size 8 jeans from Old Navy. I am pretty flat chested now...ugh... but still manage to pour what I have into a very shaped bra size C. My gut is flabby, my butt is flabby and my genetics include saddlebags that will never go away. I have no clue what my body fat is, I am thinking more than 24%. I have a sister who is about 5 ft 3 inches tall, is a size 2, and has never been overweight. She has saddlebags and a meatier thigh. She has always hated them but can do nothing to rid herself of them. Plus the cellulite. Even the skinny, younger ones have issues with their body. So be very proud of the loss you have accomplished and maintained. You are a wonderful person, always willing to give great advice. You are an inspiration to everyone. Don't let those stupid clothes sizes dictate how you feel. There are so many factors that come into play. Small boned vs. large boned; and definitely genetics. We've all got our body issues and none of us is perfect. Oh, by the way, I am 150 lbs and holding. Giselle
Thanks. I have ONE piece of size 8 clothing and it is a pair of jeans from Old Navy. The waist is tighter than I would like, but they ARE wearable, so I bought them, just so I had ONE size 8 something (and my chest is often a 14, so it was size 8 pants or nothing!)

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.
I think you look amazing Lora!!! You are always one of my upbeat helpful people on here throughout my journey. I'm only 10 months out and a size 14/16. I'd like to go down of course but I've also told myself that although 155 is my goal I might end up being happy at 165. We can't get obsessed over our # cause look in the mirror! You look freaking amazing!!!
You should be sooooooo proud of yourself! I am and you are my motivation!!!
Some clothes i'm a 10 some i'm a 12. I feel very happy where I am. I never liked tight clothing, so I really opt for the 12's. But my friends are telling me that I need to go lower. I can pull some of my 12 pants off without unbuttoning them. But I'm just happy not being in the 24-26 size. Just go with what makes you comfortable.
