Sizes, weights and body shapes and all
I am just fascinated by the difference in sizes, weights and so on that I read about on here.
I am 5 ft 1 inch tall and now weigh 150 lbs. I am definitely an apple shape. I can now wear a size 12 petite or a large or extra large top and a medium on the bottom. Yet I will read that someone who is say 5'5 can wear a 10 or an 8 and weigh say 170. Ohyeah, I am also old, lol. Will turn 66 on Wednesday so that probably has something to do with it too!
Anyone want to post sizes and body shapes for comparisons?
I am always amazed at sizes as well. It's so odd how someone who weighs the same can be 1,2, or 3 sizes different then the next person.
I'm 5'3" and currently weigh 117. I wear a 3/4 in junior jeans, a 2P in misses. I wear a med. or a large top depending on the maker and the cut. A small in leggings. dresses vary from a small-med or anywhere from a 4-6 again all depending on the cut.
The following pic is at 119 and a size large in juniors dress.
The following pic is a size 3 jeans and med. top at 123 pounds.
Im 5'6", 116 lbs, 42 years old, and at this very moment the jeans I have on are a size 1 jr, and the t-shirt is a size small, but I have other jeans that are 00, 0, 2, and even a pair of 3's that fit... and same with tops, I have some XS, S, and M. I guess it just depends on the brand, and if they are vanity sized... As for my body shape, I'd call it a 12 year old boy! LOL

I weigh 167, I'm 5'5" and I wear an 8 or 10 pants and a M or L top. I am 54 and exercise 5-6 days a week and lift heavy weights. I had a body composition test done in a BodPod at the University and I'm 21% body fat and 79% lean body mass. That's the main reason I can wear the size I do and weigh what I weigh (I also wear a size 10 shoe and have a large frame -- no one would mistakenly call me dainty ~grin~).
I do not know much about women's sizes for what they wear, my wife is 5 feet tall and is a size 4. She is 70 and been thin all her life. I have smaller pants than I did when I graduated from High School. I went from a size 54 pants to a 32 inch waist pants now. But I bet if women's cloths are like men's you can find that the size varies by manufacturer. Some at the same size on the label fit differently so I am not so caught up on sizes as I am on how I feel and look.
