6 DAYS TO SURGERY

Hello, My name is Andrea, I am 48 married with 8 children, between the two of us.  My upcoming sugery is in 6 days... I'm nervous, scared, excited all rolled in one.   I start my liquid diet tomorrow for 5 days.  I went with RNY, I have alot to lose.  I can't wait to be on the losers bench.   Wish me luck, and say a little prayer please. 

 

Hi Andrea, You are almost there.  You will do great, keep a positive attitude and look forward to all the new weight loss in your future.  I am eight days post op and I had no problems and feel great.  Don't worry stay positive and I will pray for a speedy recovery for you.

You'll do great! I just had my RNY on Tuesday with Dr. Lord, and I came home today. The nurses are so good and sweet. Just hang in there and do exactly what they tell you to do. It's really funny when they bring you your first "meal". It's the tiniest little thing, but I never finished a single one.

HI, I was wondering how you were doing.... I am very pleased with Dr. Lord.   I hope mine goes as well as yours.   Keep up the good work... I am not sure how long they are going to keep me since I am having it on Thursday and I live in Panama City ... .Dr Houston said they might keep me until Sunday just because I am out of town.

Andrea, congrats on your upcoming surgery and I am sending prayers and warm wishes your way.  I am 8 days post op and have nothing but wonderfully things to say about my surgeon, the medical team , hospital, etc.  it went so much better than I could have imagined, and I wasn't really tha concerned/worried before.

be sure to get up and walk and soon as you can and keep walking.  It does help with healing, gas pains, etc.

I am wishing you well.  I hope you have worked out a schedule for all those 8 kids so that you will have rest time when you go home.  Between planning your nourishment, walking, sipping, and vitamin regimen you are going to be overwhelmed.  Not to be negative or scare you but it is overwhelming so be prepared.  Happy days are ahead of you.
