At Last!

Wow.  I almost didn't think this was going to happen.  I had my first consult in October.  All by pre-op testing was completed in January.

First I was told my surgery would be scheduled sometime the week of March 14th.  Then I was told the doctor would be in country starting on April 4th.  Then April 9th.  Then he had to push back his arrival date again.  Then, his assistant (who is a superstar!) said she'd proposed my surgery would take place on the 15th, but she needed confirmation from the surgery team...

Then today at 11:45am, I got a call from the hospital, telling me I had to come down and fill out my forms immediately because my surgery was going to take place on Sunday.  I think I broke land speed records getting over there. 

I check in on Saturday.  The only potential hold-up could be if a bed wasn't available.  I plan to be at Admittance at 5:30am (we do things differently in this part of the world), with the procedure itself taking place the following day.  Everyone keep your fingers crossed for me, please.

I cannot wait.  Soon, I'll be on the loser's bench.  Keep a seat warm for me, please.

I had to peek at your profile to see what part of the world you're in.  Interesting!!!   Your journey is not too different than many here.  I think it's a wls thing.

I hope it's not too different!  It's been a bit of an adventure so far.
