OT: Gus after his first full bath and brushing by the groomer
My knee and I are still not up for sitting on the floor for an hour to brush Gus thoroughly, so he got a visit to the groomer yesterday and she gave him a bath (which I would not have done, because he didn't need it) and thorough brushing. He's in that awkward "teenage" stage where the puppy cuteness has faded but he doesn't yet have his "big boy" mane, but he is still VERY soft and fluffy!
Enjoying a Rawhide stick:
He also got a new toy that he LOVES... a purple Lambchop with a squeaker in its belly and small ones in each of the four feet. He has been carrying it everywhere all morning (including into the backyard). Have not been able to get him to let me get a picture of it yet, though. (If he hears the camera turn on, he stops whatever he is doing and comes running up and just stands right at my feet!)

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.
Yes, he is getting VERY big! He is vey affectionate, and offers kisses freely and likes being petted and rubbed, but doesn't like to cuddle at all. Most Chow's don't. My Khan was an exception. I think he was cuddly because he felt vulnerable because his hips hurt him so much.

He is SO fluffy!
I still want to get him and Isaac together at a dog park this summer. As soon as your knee feels up to you walking a bit.

I could eat him up with love and kisses! He's absolutely beautiful! I miss my dog so much, much more than the ex....but my Mom is not an animal person and he's every bit of 70 lbs while he's house trained with a doggie door....she'd never allow me to bring him here....so hoping for the day I can get him from the ex, if he'll return him to me.
Sweet baby!
