Meatballs *Ouch*

How many people can tolerate Ground Beef?  I have tried it only one other time recently and thought it was too dry but tonight I tried a meatball that was cooking in spaghetti sauce all day with a small amount of Ricotta Cheese.  Now I did puree it and it was only 3/4 in diameter but I feel like I have a brick in my poor pouch.  Am I doing anything wrong or is it just not meant to be.  And I was so proud of myself I had no desire for the spaghetti when before I could have easily eat'n  a full plate plus a loaf of garlic bread with it!!

It is trial and error for alot of things. I am fine with ground beef. Meatloaf and meatballs have been fine. Originally I was good with chicken, but lately not working out so well for me.

Good luck on your journey!

You may just need more time. Wait a bit and try again if you want. Some things take longer than others and everyone is a little bit different. I can eat it fine now but I do remember a few tough incidents with chili (made with ground beef) early out from surgery.

I am 6 months out and tried meatballs for the first time a week ago and loved it!  I do have problems with ground meat though - It might have been the bread crumbs that softened the meatballs and made them easier to handle.

Your only about a month out so it just may be to soon for your pouch. Try again at a later date. I had ground beef for the first time at about 3 months out. I could only eat an 1/8 cup before I felt super full.

Thank  you everyone,  I think I will hold off a few more weeks for additional healing and then make them with some more bread crumbs in them...

I just wish this horrible pain would stop, it is even going up to my right shoulder, yuck time to pray  and relax

Oddly, I was able to do ground meats for the first few months, but now that I'm a year out they don't sit well with me. Chili, spaghetti sauce with meat, meatloaf, hamburgers... all a no for me now. Which saddens me, but it is what it is. There are plenty of other things to eat in the world.
