How high is your BMI if you don't mind sharing?
Should this be your only option I would consider the sleeve to DS revision since the sleeve is the first part of the DS and not RNY.
I'd also like to mention some insurances will only pay for once in a lifetime WLS so be sure this is not the case and a malabsorption surgery is not available for you later should you need/want a second surgery.

BMI is a 62+ and yes I am aware abut the insurance issue. That was discussed up front with the insurance company. Fortunately mine does not have the one and done provision.

I am doing a revision on Tuesday and hoping to revise from an RNY to a DS. The surgeon wants to make sure I don't have too much scar tissue. If I do have too much he will redo my RNY( I have a fistula) He told me that as a surgeon he felt the very best and most successful surgery was the DS or getting the sleeve and later converting to the DS. Talk to your surgeon about converting your sleeve to the DS and see what he says. Many times they will do the sleeve first to get your BMI down into a safe range then convert to the DS which is the second stage of the sleeve.I know people do lose very well with the sleeve as part one of the surgery. I would think going back and converting to the RNY would be very complicated- just as it is for RNY revisions to convert to the DS.
Good luck to you regardless of what y ou decide to do.
