Knee surgery done; lots of pain
on 3/7/13 7:53 am
Hi Lora,
Glad everything went well. They haven't got you on the pain med pump? I am surprised....I wasn't switched off until the 2nd day after surgery. I have never gotten much benefit from the oxycodone so i was given dilaudid. that seemed to be much better with the pain. I have never been able to sleep in hospital...too noisy so sleeping pills are the rule. Hospitals are exhausting! The pain will get better every day...."it is temporary" is the mantra.
I am glad you are up and about...so important. Strange that standing is more comfortable than lying in bed, right?
Little Gus is going to be so happy to see you! Just be careful!
Thinking of you!!
Cindy
Lora, I'm so proud of you for doing the surgery & sending you healing thoughts! Relieved to know you made it thru and just keep your mind focused on how much BETTER you'll feel a week from now!
