Knee surgery done; lots of pain
Sending positive energies your way and looking forward to hearing a good report!
Praying for a quick recovery and relief from your pain. I guess I'm the exception to the rule--I've had both knees done and will have one of the replacements replaced this summer ( they've both been in over 15 years). I sailed through both operations--not much pain and out of the hospital at about 2 days. Back then they hooked you up to a passive resistance machine that kept your knee in constant motion--loved it !! PT wasn't much fun--but it's great that you are up and moving around. Just know that LOTS of people are thinking of you and wishing you well. Never fear Gus IS looking for you !!
14 years out; 190 pounds lost, 165 pound loss maintained
You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.
So glad this surgery is over for you. Now to get the pain under control. Keep us posted Lora and thanks for taking the time to let us know how it went. We all have been wondering. Jane
Knees are a painful replacement. Try and find just the right combo of pain meds not only for a regular regimine but for break through pain as well. Hit 100 grams of protein a day for fast healing. Consider 300 mg of gabapentin 3 times a day along with liquid Tylenol to bridge with. I promise that within two months you will be saying "what knee?". This will all just be a memory. Have you in my prayers every day. Allison
