Sometimes I think my pouch/stoma is broken and then I'm reminded
I'm 15 months out. Sometimes I feel like I can eat a lot (not like before a lot but more than I'm used to).
So I woofed down some food last night and had a "stuck" food moment (more like couple of hours). It sucked but was a great reminder that I'm not broken, my pouch and stoma are perfectly fine and I need to chew better. Lesson learned.
Glad you are feeling better and more confident about your pouch. I often feel like I can eat too much, but several endoscopies have shown my pouch to still only be about 3 oz. I just have to remember not to drink water when I eat or I'm hungry again too fast.
My poor uncle got a piece of broccoli wedged so badly that he had to go to the hospital! Good reminder to me to chew, chew, chew.
