TGIF! What are you doing / what's on your plate today?

TGIF all! Thought I’d start this today since it wasn’t up already.

What a week. Major upheaval and lots of changes at work, but I am looking toward the future with an open mind. Hopefully the plans in place will make the library a more accessible, useful resource in the long run. I am optimistic!

We managed to get “Book of Mormon” tickets on Wednesday before they sold out, and this was members-only sale date! They don’t go on sale to the publi****il March 14th, and if it’s anything like the member sale day, I couldn’t get through by phone and the website crashed for 24 hours. We ended up finding someone on stubhub reselling their tickets for a small price increase. I can’t wait for the show! It’s the day after my b-day and I get to go with my husband and father-in-law. Supposedly they saved a small block of tickets for the public sale, but they are expected to sell out in under 10 minutes, woah. Yesterday I managed to get on the website and snag one of the few remaining pairs for a friend of mine. He was so excited, so that felt great.

So it hasn’t been too bad of a week, and I’m looking forward to a relaxing weekend with Joe and our dog. Today I got up for my regular 90 minute yoga practice and was a little bit wobbly, so I set my intention as practicing “aparigraha” (not grasping at what is not coming to me naturally).

Food today:

Day – Coffee and water

Evening – Not too sure. I know my usual snacks like kasha protein bars, yogurt, eggs, and whole wheat toast will be involved, but dinner is up in the air. Maybe we’ll order Chinese food. The place we get it from has the best steamed shrimp and veggies and will leave the sauce on the side for me. They are super nice.

Oh! Oh! Also got my cool new swimsuit in the mail! It looks so neat-o. I am so glad that it fits:

Have a happy Friday everyone!

That swimsuit is so cool - and you look great!

Today, watching a friend's kiddo with my own little one this morning so staying home. A friend is coming to visit with her little baby so it will be a fun morning. Then taking my preschooler to a doc appt this afternoon and might take the family to a local Christian concert tonight, if the kids are in a decent mood.

Breakfast: Tried to eat the last mini-scone I had but after a few bites, my 18 month old stole it from me. Thank you God for removing temptation from my hands, literally! I will go get my protein shake like a good girl. :)

Lunch: Rotisseri chicken breast, greek yogurt with apple slices

Supper: Not sure yet. A protein and veggie.

Snacks: Greek yogurt & strawberries, cheese stick

Tomorrow, my boys start swimming lessons again in the morning. So I HAVE to go to the YMCA. Looking forward to getting back on track with my workouts (if I keep saying that, I'll start believing it, right?)

Thank you!

Oooh rotisserie chicken sounds good. Maybe we'll get one of those for dinner because right now I'm stumped and kind of sleepy after this crazy week.

Love the swim suit. B Greek yogurt, string cheese 1/2 banana and 1 T peanut butter L tuna salad, cottage cheese, carrots salmon, quinoa, aspargus.I've already walked my 3.6 miles and will do some strength traiNing later. I am so thankful for my surgery. Yesterday was my 6 month date and I have lost 99 pounds. In three weeks I will walk my first 5k. Without my surgery none of this would be possible. Have a great weekend everyone!

Very nice Swim Suit!!!! Congrats on snagging the tickets too!!!

Today I am going to go to Disneyland for a few hours with a friend who is now a new coworker. We are going to check out the New Fantasy Faire area to meet all the Disney Princesses!

I'm sure we will share some sort of good food while we are there.

Tonight is Girls night out with several of my girl friends. Again I'm sure I'll find something on the menu to share with the girls. Many of these friends have not seen me since before I had my surgery in June.

What ever is on your plate today I hope it's fun and enjoyable!!!

On another note.. My size 10's are very loose!!!!

Thanks! They're super-soft. I got them at Target and they're one of the few pairs of running shorts I have with pockets! More women's clothing needs pockets...

Great suit!  It makes you look even thinner, lol!

I've decided to leave work early today, just because I want to and I can.  I think I will do some shopping when I leave here, and then I will go to the gym and work out on the elliptical trainer and the recumbent bike.  My husband and I are going out for dinner tonight, but I'm not sure where.

B - Dannon Light & Fit Greek raspberry yogurt, 1/2 Fiber One original cereal, and two prunes

S - Decaf vanilla protein coffee

L - Dannon Light & Fit Greek pineapple yogurt and a Vanilla Almond Crunch Quest bar

S - Probably an Isopure

D - Whatever looks reasonable at whatever restaurant we decide to go to, probably a salad

I hope everyone has a great weekend!
