I've noticed my head hunger kicks in when I'm bored or stressed, so it's even more important for me to plan. Also, I eat 4-6x/day so I don't feel sad about only 3 meals a day--I can space out my breakfast into two depending on the day. LOL Can you split up your meals and spread them out?

That is a great idea splitting my meals into two......I think I am going to try that....it might make my evenings a bit better :-)  Thank you for the advice!

Boredom is a problem for me and when I get that urge, well, there are no snacks in the house so I usually grab a calcium bite and can make it last as long as possible.  I'm surprised but it takes away the desire to eat chips or other snacks.

That is a great idea - I have some of those at home - getting rid of a craving and getting a vitamin in is awesome!

It's a big problem for me. One thing that helps is packets of protein snacks I buy from the Monarch store. They're Proti brand. I have Barbeque and "Cheese and Fine Herbs." (Contains no actual barbeque or fine herbs, or herbs of any sort, and nothing fine in either flavor!) They are nasty. But they're very snacky, so I can choke down most of a packet and get royally sick of them, and snacking is over for the evening. Works like magic. They have about 12 grams of protein, which helps me get all the pro in for the day. They're very salty, too, and I do drink a big glass of iced tea with them, which helps me get my fluids in. That's the only time I drink with food.

I too am 6 months out and having alot of trouble with head hunger lately. I try to stay within 1000 a day, but my surgeon also told me not to worry about counting calories yet. I am snacking, but snacking on protein bars, nuts, fruits, cheese sticks. Things with protein. It is so hard right now and I am struggling to get it under control. It's all will power and it seems I've lost a lot of that lately.

Mine kicks in mostly at night (after 9 pm).  I've been drinking something every time I get the urge to eat.  Seems to be helping me a lot these past few nights.

Surgery weight:  232 lbs. / Goal: 145 lbs. Height:  5'5"     Fat? Ain't nobody got time for that.
