It's rough.  I had WLS 2 weeks before my youngest turned 2.  She's a very active kid, and is always wanting the "up, down, up down" treatment, so that was really difficult.  do you have help?

Surgery Date:  January 14, 2013

Line up as much help as possible. My daughter was 17 months when I had surgery, and thankfully, my MIL and parents were able to take care of her while I recovered. I couldn't lift her until almost 4 weeks, but she liked climbing up onto my lap--I just had to be careful when she did that.

Have a two year old my husband took one week off then I was on my own.  Was not to bad kept a pillow in front of me because he is a bit rough otherwise it was fine.  I changed him on floor he is pretty independent little guy so rarely lifted him just helping down from carseat.  My lifting restrictions were two weeks

I pulled a muscle after my first week, so that set me back a little. Just have the help lined up just in case you need it. If you don't need it, great! If you do need it, it will be a HUGE blessing! LOL

Good luck!

I have an 18 month old and a 3 year old. I had help for a full week and I needed every minute of it. When I was back to full time mommy, I bent wrong a few times, but overall I was okay after that week. Good luck!
