Getting extremely anxious about the surgery tomorrow have to be at the hospital at 5:15 ugh.  Surgery at 7:30 not sure how long the surgery will take but fingers crossed everything goes well.

The kids are all off at friends houses for the night and to get off to school tomorrow so we are good there, phew once less thing to worry about.

Did anyone have to wash with anything special?

Some docs recommend bathing with an antibacterial soap prior to surgery, which is supposed to help reduce the risk of infection.

Good luck. Surgery should take about an hour and a half, usually.

Your surgeon would have let you know if he felt it was necessary to buy special soap.

I was just told to take a shower with Ivory soap or similar (nothing scented, fancy, etc). For me, the hardest part was dropping my kids off at my sister's house the night before. Sounds like you are done with that hard part. Hang in there - surgery will be done before you know it! Be sure to check in with us here as soon as you are feeling up to it so we can welcome you to the loser's bench! Good luck!

My surgery is feb 26. I was given special wipes to cleanse various areas of my body. I even have to bring in a paper with stickers from the packages
I also have to sleep on freshly laundered sheets the night before my surgery and the night after. Good thing I have Mom to do my laundry hehe!

Good luck tomorrow. Post when you can!

You are all so wonderful, I cannot wait to be on the loosers side.

It was definitely hard sending the kids off, I sent them each a text that I loved them and even my 13 year old responded that he loved me back :)  I will update asap.  Thank you everyone
