Addicted to Green Beans!

I have always liked green beans but seems like the last few months I crave them AND I can eat almost a whole can of them...not the big can but like the soup can size.  I don't add butter just salt, pepper and some garlic powder and I cook them for awhile until they're super soft but it seems like I can eat alot of them.  Should I be able to eat that much?  It just seems to be with green beans.

Canned green beans are really soft and they chew down well, so it makes sense to me that you can eat quite a few of them. I bet you still can't eat a lot of dense protein at one sittingkiss

I can eat more soft foods than I can of dense protein.

I fight badgers with spoons.

No dense things I can't eat alot of like a chicken breast I can eat about 1/3 of it and it's grilled on a hungry day I can eat half of a chicken breast.

AprilM, green beans have been my go to veggie ever since I had surgery last May.  For some reason they sit well on my pouch and digest well.  I too have always liked green beans but after surgery I love them and they love me!   Take care, Jane

At least I'm not the only one I'm like what an odd thing to crave healthy but odd lol

I'm in the same situation, but with fresh blueberries and clementines. I can't get enough of them! They just taste sooo good and I find myself craving at least a serving a day. I'm also having major cravings for peanuts, almonds, and peanut butter/almond butter.

Come visit me on my blog, Through a Cooking Glass! I talk about my journey through WLS and learning to live, cook, and eat on the other side.

That's one thing I don't really care for that much since surgery is peanut butter strange because I used to LOVE peanut butter.  I do like almonds though!

Me too.  I was a peanut butter addict, and now I've probably had only a tablespoon in the last 4 months.  I look at the jar and think "Meh.  Was it really ever that good?"

Call me weird, but I eat them cold out of the can.  Always have liked them that way!  As a snack I can polish off most of a 15oz can.  Am looking foreward to having spaghetti over fresh steamed green beans for supper tonight!
