staples coming out?

howdy RNYers!

I am 2 months out of RNY and I was reading on another website that Drs no longer use staples because they come out so often?  Wow.  I am stapled and will see my surgeon in 2 weeks and I most certainly will  chat with him about this but has anyone else heard of this problem or had this problem?  Yikes!

Unbelievable journey this is!  First month was not really hard but more like strange.  Odd not to know my own body and what it would tolerate and the swelling and all.  Now, it gets better and better every day and the weight just keeps coming off.  Thank you Lord!

Great, reassuring forum.  Got me through all my rough spots!  Very kind, knowledgeable people here. 

The stapling is done with a very fast device that staples and cuts at the same time.  The cut line is also reinforced with sutures.  There is a YouTube video of an actual RnY that shows this clearly if you are interested.
