Ouch, ouch, ouch!
I had both Knees replaced (six months apart) in 2009/2010. Best thing I ever did (at least before my RNY). I had a fairly easy time, didn't realize how much pain I was in until it was gone. Sometimes I am still in awe of things I can do now.

I hate falling...other than the weight and arthritis, i took a couple bad falls in the past that contributed to my knee issues. I am being very careful about snow and ice since I am only 3 weeks out from my knee replacement....don't want to screw it up now.
I understand your back and forth about the knee surgery. I did for a while, too. But I am so glad i went ahead and you will , too. I am a little over 3 weeks out from the replacement and I can honestly say that it wasn't as bad as i expected. The old pain is gone and the surgical pain is minimal. I have cut way back on the pain meds and only take them prior to PT sessions.
Take care of yourself...ice the knee and elbow.
I would love to get a puppy fix and play with Gus...he is so adorable!

I think you and Gus should come on down to Florida where it's warm, lay around my pool until you recoup, and since I have five dogs Gus will have plenty of playmates to keep him worn out. Oh, and hubby is a gourmet chef.
Next best thing I can do is send you a big hug and wishes that you're feeling better real soon!!!
I hope you're feeling better!!!
