Try to find the Centrum Chewable.  My nut said not to get the "silver".  I like the flavor of this one that I buy.

I actually prefer the Silver chewable, because it contains selenium while the regular Centrum chewable does not.

What reason did your nut give (since the contents are very, very similar)?

Either is fine.  They just have slightly different amounts of things and the Silver has selenium which the other does not.  I actually use both because I get sick of the orange flavor of the regular.

I started with the Centrum Silver chewable as advised by my surgeon but then changed to the centrum strong as it has a bit more iron in it.

I take the Centrum Silver Chewables and I like the taste of them; my doc said it's the Best one and my labs are Great (except my protein....I am working on that)
