5 years out and still going!

5 years ago today, I was scared to death, but the thought of dying young and not seeing my daughter grow up was a lot scarier. I took a huge step and moved to save my own life by having a gastric bypass. I started at a cringeworthy 501 pounds. It's now 5 years and over 300 pounds lost, and even though I have had some complications along the way, I would do it all over again. I am NEVER going back to being the miserable person in this picture. It hasn't been all sunshine and roses, a smooth easy perfect journey. I am blessed to have people in my life that have been there for me every step of the way. I am going to learn from my before, and enjoy living my after.

Congrats!!

But being a numbers geek, which number is wrong? I assume the 331 on your current pic (501-331=170 pounds lost).

Yeah, it was supposed to have a minus sign in front of the 331 so it would show 331 pounds lost, and the current weight of 170. Hell, I wish I would have looked that good weighing 331 pounds! lol. My ticker in my signature on here also shows 331 pounds lost.

AH-MA-ZING!!  So freaking amazing.  You should be so proud of yourself.  I couldn't help but notice you had a business card (and I love the bacon - LOL!).  How do you use them?  I'm interested in doing that myself.  Congrats on your amazing transformation!!

You are truly an inspiration and you look wonderful.  I am hoping you are now in much better health.  300# is truly amazing.  Can you even believe that you carried that around every day?  If they tried to put something weighing that much on you now, I bet you could not even move!

Bravo!!!!
