Just wondering if anyone reports no trouble in drinking fluids. I am 6 weeks post op and i can drink 8 oz of water in 5 min with no problems. I drink my protein shake in about 10 minutes. Is this considered normal? I read so many posts about people have difficulty keeping any fluid down. Wondering if i am abnormal?

Most don't post when they aren't having problems, so sometimes it makes those of us who aren't feel like something is wrong with US!! I remember thinking the same thing back when I first had surgery. I had read so many posts like you describe that I was prepared to have the same....but didn't.

Be thankful that you don't, but I think that NOT having a problem is much more common than having a problem. Be happy!!

What Martha said! I didn't have any problems either and got all my fluids in from the second day.

Fluids are pretty easy for me as well. I think you're fine.

My doctor said by the end of the first week we should be drinking "normal" again. Like you I had no issues. Remember on this kind of forum most people type about problems and what to do to fix them.

Congrats on a normal recovery!

Whew.....ok I was wondering if I was alone here. The point that people don't post of there not having a problem does make sense though. I haven't had any issues drinking.
