It has only been a little over 3 mths and i have already lost 80 pounds and 10 before surgery. so a total of 90 pounds and the dr only gave me 105 pounds to lose, i gave myself more then the dr but anyways. I am still having serious issues with eating, i do eat but not very much and i am never hungry which is great, but i am worried i will not be able to control the weight loss and prevent myself from getting to small. I am already in a size 14/16 junior from a size 26/28 plus womens and a medium shirt but i wear a large/xlarge because of the skin shows if the shirt is to tight i was in a 3x/4x shirt.  I love my new body even with all the skin, but I dont want to get to skinny. I keep looking for that stall everyone talks about, but it has not happened yet, and i dont see my weight slowing down at all any time soon. I have slowed down on working out because i dont get enough calories to support working out like i was, but i still workout just only once a week, but my daily routine is pretty crazy. I drink 2 protein shakes a day each one 30 grams of protein 145 calories, 4 carbs, i eat half of can tuna with lite mayo and pickle relish and boiled egg, i eat 2 cheese sticks a day, and i drink about 70 oz of fluids a day, for dinner i usually eat a few stew beef pieces that are cooked in the crock pot, with some cream of mushroom soup and unflavored protein powder. I guess my question is can we really lose the weight to fast and get to skinny and not being able to stop the weight loss.

My dr.'s goal was for me to lose 114 pounds. I have lost 150 pounds. Yes, you can get too skinny. However .. You have a ways to go before you need to be worried. Under most cir****tances you will slow down as you approach your bodies ideal weight. Make sure that you are following up with your surgical team. They will help you maintain a healthy weight.

I think you can 'starve' yourself - sure.  It doesn't sound like you are, GIVEN that you are 3 months out and you're eating what is listed.  I was able to eat about that much spread out a bit more @ 3 months.  I'm surprised you've lost that much that fast but hey - great. It takes many folks at least 6 months to lose 100 lbs.  Of course talk with your NUT.  My advice would be (and I"m not a doctor or anything) is when you reach your goal weight - start adding some 'good' calories.  Like extra protein shakes or fit in another small meal in between your other meals.

Well, I never heard of anyone disappearing and I've been here about 9 years!!!!  Honestly, I was about on your schedule for weight loss and ended up losing to below goal in about six months.   I was eating waaaay more than you though ...

At this stage you should probably be EATING three meals a day and your shakes should be supplements NOT meal replacements!  It takes work to eat and you need to be prepared to do just that - plan a menu and pretty much stick to it - at the moment you are eating one meal and 4 snacks really ...

Not being hungry doesn't mean you don't eat - it means you have to work to find something that is appetising enough for you to be able to eat it on schedule ...

i eat the tuna in small amount all day, because i cant eat more then a few bites at a time, i drink the shakes because i cant eat very much, i drink a shake for breakfast, cheese stick for snack, some tuna for lunch, shake for snack, tuna or refried beans with cheese and then beef tips or chicken in the crock pot which is actually like 3 meals with 1 breast and 2-3 beef tips at a time. i space my food out so i eat 3 meals and 2 snacks but since i cant eat more then a few bites at a time without throwing up.

For 3 months out your intake is way more than I could consume which is excellent that you can. Many of us have gone below what our expected weight loss anticipated.

For most it slows down and stops before we become underweight. Also you may appear to look ill for a period of time to others as they too adjust to the new you. I do not recommend trying to over eat or eat unhealthy choices to stop the weight loss. IF you get underweight please consult your doctor otherwise enjoy the weight loss and wow moments they don't last forever. Maintenance becomes the real work.

Bear in mind also that there is usually some bounce back regain once you are thru losing.

Tell your doctor/surgeon about your fears. Follow his advice.

Good luck!

Do you think that eating meat is difficult for your pouch?  Maybe rather than beef and tuna, maybe you could try eating other non-meat protein-rich foods for a while?  After my surgery I couldn't tolerate meat at all; it didn't matter how long I chewed it, I would always get the foamies.  After getting tired of foaming up and feeling like crap for most of the day, I stopped eating meat and ate all sorts of beans (pinto beans, black beans, black-eyed peas, etc.), Greek yogurt (Dannon Light & Fit has several nice flavors), cottage cheese, and I also ate a lot of vegetarian chili.

I'm pretty much a vegetarian these days, but I average about 90 grams of protein each day with food and two protein drinks per day (the protein drinks are my snacks; I only eat food three times a day).  Not saying that people need to do this, it's just what works for me.

As far as losing too much, I guess it could happen if you're not able to eat enough.  I would advise experimenting with different protein-rich foods to see what your pouch can tolerate.  Good luck!
