Oh Lora, I am so sorry.  I haven't been on the boards at all  lately so don't know the whole story - but I do know that losing a pet is one of the most painful experiences we can have as humans.  They ask so little from us, and love us no matter what we are going through or what mistakes we may make.

Take extra care of yourself tonight and for a while.  You are such an encouragement here and I'm sure you are just an incredible person all around.  I hate it when people have to hurt.

Oh, Lora

I'm so sorry to hear this. I've been wondering how little Max has been doing and was worried.  It's so very hard to go thru this, my thoughts will be with you.

Maybe he somehow waited until this time!  Not that Gus would replace him, but so that your love for him would continue.  I am so,so sorry.  You made a courageous decision to not let home suffer!  Have a small scoop of Hagen Daze Strawberry ice cream!  Blessings, Allison

So sorry.  I had to have my Shamoo put down over Thanksgiving - she was 15, had thyroid problems and went down hill very quickly.  Having her put to sleep was the kindest thing I could do, but it does not ease the pain or loneliness.  I am glad you have Gus - he will be a definite comfort!

So sorry about your dog. I also have a dog, and she licks my tears away when I'm sad. I so appreciate her. I had a cat that I had to put down, and that was very difficult because I had her 12 years. Hope you feel better soon.

So sorry, Lora.
It's such a hard decision, but is best if Max was so very sick and suffering.  *hugs*
Cuddle and love on Gus and know that Max is free of pain.

Lora, I'm truly sorry to hear of your pain! You're making the kindest decision for him, and while that may be little solace right now, Max was blessed to have you in his life. My deepest sympathy and virtual hugs are for you - if you ever need to talk, I'm just a phone call or email away

How very sad - its like losing a human member of the family.  He's a lucky dog to have an owner who knows when its time. Prayers for you.

So sorry to hear about your beloved pet. I lost mine a few months ago and my life is not the same without him.
