This is driving me crazy
I am two weeks post op.......and every time i get on the scale it doesn't change. I seriously expected rapid weight loss by now.. I am starting to feel like maybe my surgery didn't work. I really hope that the weight loss starts soon. I did lose all the water weight after the surgery, but i am still at my pre surgery weight. I don't eat more than my 2 oz at meal times. Why is it not "kicking in" I feel so frustrated.
I had the same problem and then all the sudden bam! It started coming off. Take a few days away from the scale....focus on what your eating and don't drive yourself crazy. I hit a plateau too and felt the same way. I read on here one person said to weigh yourself once a month...this way you don't go crazy and you almost always lose weight!
Thank you for the advise! I feel better knowing that other people also seem to have had a slow start. I feel hopeful that mine will start sooner rather than later.
:)
It will happen. I promise. Your body is adjusting.
How often are you weighing yourself?

I weigh most days, too. I know some people say not to do it, but for me I'd rather know! You just have to not let yourself get upset if it doesn't change.

Obviously weighing yourself every day is causing you distress! When do you see your doctor again? Can you just wait until then? It is going to happen and you are just making yourself crazy day after day. Spend more time exercising, do a craft, go to the mall and look at smaller clothes......anything but obsess over your scale!! DON'T LET IT CONTROL YOU!!
