Sometimes I just like to go back ....
Wow I was feeling bad about myself for a bagel-binge over the weekend and this post made me remember what a blessing it is to have come this far. Now I am even more motivated to stick with the healthy habits I've worked to cultivate. I still sleep in that blue Northeastern long sleeve shirt! It is down past my knees now and constantly amazes me. One of these days I will have to get a picture in it for comparison. The one on the right is from my husband's company Christmas party in December.
One of the silliest, but greatest victories is comfortably wearing my first pair of skinny jeans! I always wore boot-cut jeans with some stretch in them but these are Calvin Klein real denim skinnies. Here I am with super-cute husband getting ready for 2013:

ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS!!!! GORGEOUS!!! CONGRATS!!!! Yup ... it is always good to remember where we are and keep moving forward ....... WE KNOW WHAT TO DO!!! I bet you worked those bagels off already ... as I munch on 1/2 onion bagel with lox/onions/mustard/tomato and cream cheese (cut in half).... TO DIE FOR ....
I saved one pair of pants. My favorite pair, size 24 black dress slacks. And those were getting tight. Twice a year when I change out my seasonal clothes, I come upon them (I store them in the bucket with the "off season" clothes). And twice a year I put them on. And I cry.
I can no longer remember the woman that wore those pants. But I want to stay grounded to where I came from so I do everything I can to ensure I never go back. For several years I've meant to take a picture of that moment, but I can't bring myself to do it. It is one of those things that I only share with my husband.
I'm so proud of each of you and the success you've realized. You are a big part of what helps me stay the course.
I love seeing your photos.... I remember the first post of yours that I saw, and you were in a size 2 dress looking amazing... I was about 2 weeks post op at the time, and your picture left an ingrained impression on me, to what is possible! I remember thinking you look like a super model! And I still think that each time I see a picture of you. So beautiful!
