I am sure you already know this but what really helped me when my anxiety was over the top was completely avoiding things with caffeine.  That made things a bit better.  And try to get in some things like chamomile tea and valerian root and other natural things that help with calming.  Look at the tea section and try to find things like calming tea and things like that.  It really does help.

I hope things get better soon.  Anxiety is the worse.  I know, I've been there.

You know, for some reason, the caffeine thing didn't even occur to me!  I don't have a lot of it, but I do have the hot chocolate in the morning that has a small amount and I have a diet soda with caffeine more days than not, and probably the orange spice tea has some.  I will eliminate the soda for a while since that is the easy one to give up and see if that helps.  Thanks.

Lora,

So sorry you are going through all this - anxiety sucks big time.  Do take your meds to help you get through this period of stress.  I've used some relaxation tapes/CDs over the years that have helped me a lot, esp at night which is a very hard time for me.  You might check Amazon or BN.com to see what they have along those lines.

I wish there was something more we could do to help you - you help so many here.  Just know that people are here for you, and sending good thoughts your way.

Sending many huge hugs your way.  I have had a couple of anxiety attacks in the past and they were terrifying!  Take care of yourself and know you are such a great help to so many people!!!

You have lots of supporters here!  I am so sorry, I have a big trauma history and ptsd too and it can be so painful and difficult.  Really healing and gentle thoughts are coming your way.  I am sure you have tried everything, but the things that have helped me the most are EMDR and guided imagery, I like Belleruth Naparstek at HealthJourneys.com  Her PTSD imagery is really amazing.  I like the anxiety one too.  They are pretty cheap, $15 to download, totally worth a try.  I have the one for successful surgery, i used it for the rny surgery and also for another one I had, I LOVE it.  I have it on an IPOD shuffle and if you want it I would be happy to send it to you, just message me.   And the EMDR totally changed my life.  And I second the caffeine idea, it sends me right over the edge.  And I wish you peace and serenity and safety and joy.
