I understand that. My question did not assume that it was not. I simply wanted to know how many people would respond to that type of approach since I definitely would not. The fact that it is for TV doesn't change my question.

The reality is that regular trainers do not work like that in a typical commercial fitness center. They would be fired. Therefore there is very little chance to be in that position and take that abuse. The advantage to the participants on the show is that they have excellent medical attention if they need it.
