Jillian Michaels... Would you get motivated or tell her to stick it?
I don'****ch Biggest Loser much, but have seen a few episodes and happened to see the sneak peek of tonight's episode before i changed the channel. Part of the reason that I DON'****ch is because of the way Jillian treats people. I have seen her interviewed a number of times, so it's not that I think she's a ***** I think she means well, but still...
So... I am just wondering how many people would respond to the way Jillian Michaels "motivates" people... Putting them down, calling them names, trying to get them angry so they put that energy into their workout. I know some people who would be reduced to a puddle of tears. I was raised by a Marine, so it would take far more than the yelling she does to make me cry, but I would get to a certain point, tell her to stick it (that's the PG-rated version!) and walk away. I would NOT subject myself to that kind of treatment. I would respond MUCH better to encouragement, even in a tough way... More like the other guy's approach. Once I DID see Jillian being truly encouraging, but most of the time she is just mean.
What say you?

I have been watching this season (for the first time ever!) because I'm curious about how they are handling the children in the show. To answer your question, if I had to deal with Jillian, I'd either end up in a psychotic break, or arrested for assaulting her. I don't deal well with abuse of any kind, whether directed at me or at someone else in my vicinity.

Lots of victim mentality this season, for sure!! Honestly, I think it's a huge problem in the bariatric community especially with those who have gained back a significant amount of weight.
I love Jillian.

I watched the show briefly several seasons ago. That came to an abrupt halt when I saw her verbally abuse--and yes, I do mean abuse--a man. I promptly turned the show off and have not tuned in again. I think her style of 'motivation' is bunk.
I know she is quite popular, but I think she enjoys--nay, delights--in being mean. She reminds me of the girl in high school gym class who would sneak into the locker room early to swish your clothing in the toilet. In short, I loathe her. I will no****ch anything she is in or buy any of her products. My hard earned cash will not enrich that bullying ***** One day someone somewhere is going to give her a knuckle sandwich.

I watch it every season, I like to see the success's and the challenges. It has only been two shows so far and she is extremely brutal on them this time, maybe being off 2 years made her worse or something to prove. That part I don't like but enjoy the challenges and seeing how the doctors try to help them.
I really like the 2 male trainers (who's names I don't remember). Particularly the guy with the reddish blond hair. I like his interpersonal skills.
