Fess up! Did you gain over the holidays?? What is your plan?

I was way less than perfect in my eating between Thanksgiving and the end of the year yet I managed to lose 7lbs between 11/27 and 1/6 (Which is more than I usually lose in that amount of time). I attribute that to still being kind of fresh out of surgery.. (13.5 months out)

I'm sure if this was a year from now I wouldn't be so lucky so I don't think I will be eating like I did over the holidays next Christmas. I indulged in more goodies thank I would like to discuss really, but also didn't really beat myself up over it. I'm back on my eating schedule/plan now.

Gained a bit, lost a bit... seemed more like water weight than real weight... but in any case I was 157 this morning so I guess it figured itself out.

Yeah, I did. Blogged about it this morning.... 5 friggen pounds.blush Between the holidays, my husband being sick, and old mental habits slipping back in, it's a legit 5 lbs of excess calories and carbs. So going back to basics, cutting back the carbs, and NO MORE TREATS/EXCUSES!! Exercise will be the same though, just continuing the Half-Marathon training program (so I guess that counts as increasing activity, since it's increasing distance & speed until March!).

You'll run that off in no time!  I'm really glad mine is only 3 lbs...but I did keep up my exercising albeit modified because of the plastics.

It is so hard to break that "bite of this, bite of that" habit!  I find myself wanting to grab a mini candy when I walk by it at the office or I want "just a bite" of the dessert someone brought in.........lots of hot tea and pickles in my future!

For the first time in years I didn't gain. I allowed myself to indulge at the 3 family celebrations we attended and that was it. At other parties I stayed on target picking things like shrimp ****tail. I also continued my exercise plan and ran several times after it snowed until the temp was below 20.

I gained about 4 pounds, but have lost them.  Kept up the exercise, didn't count calories..................really ate whatever I wanted (except things that would make me dump, of course).

I reached my goal weight the week before Thanksgiving, and at my highest I was 7 pounds over after Christmas. And honestly, I didn't eat that much, or bad things. No sweets at all. Probably too much peanut butter, and a few too many carbs. Not sure what the deal was. But I started tracking again, and I've lost 5 of the 7 already. I'm not too worried about it. But now I know I have to be constantly diligent.

Yup.

But a lot of other things contributed to it as well. Barely been able to train since Augusta in Sept. broken ribs made it painful to be alive much less exercise. Babies surgery and the stresses of that and everyone in for the surgery made for a plethora of crap in the house I normally wouldn't have at home, being a stress eater made it an explosive situation. Travel for work and funeral and depression yeah past few months have been a bad place for me.

Plan start new!

Scheduled for some races so I have to train. Back to logging food and actually weighing and planning what I eat.

Back to basics. Won't say what I gained but I am 5 of it down.
