How to search for old posts?

How do you search the forums for older posts?  I want to search for something that I know has been talked about but can't figure it out.

On the blue banner where it says your account there is a search button.

wow, it was right there but I couldn't find it... thanks I found what I was looking for.

Just be warned hat the search function in the past was VERY hit or miss.  Even if you knew exact words that were in a post, sometimes it would not find them.  They upgraded the board software a few months back, so hopefully the search function is better.
