It's my birthday!
Since it is now after midnight and officially 12-27; i am officially 26! I can honestly say that RNY was the best gift I could have given myself.
So far I am down 48 lbs since surgery on 11-5-12, 59 lbs down since August. I am tolerating everything I have tried to eat since the surgery(minus the occasions I went to fast and threw it back up). I can drink everything I have tried. The only problem I have is getting enough of said food and liquids. My meds go down easily as do my vitamins (I am lucky that way). I no longer have the extreme tiredness I did right after surgery. My mood has greatly improved. I have more energy. All around I am just happier! I can't believe that a couple of years ago I sneered at the thought of bariatric surgery just because a mean doctor said I needed it before he even introduced himself to me (long story). I am so lucky to have the insurance that covered every bit of the procedure. I had a fantastic team at CHRIAS and PMRI to help me get through the classes and appointments. I am thankful to have a job that allowed me the time off to recouperate from the surgery. I am thankful to have the support system in my family and close friends behind me to help me succeed.
I think 26 might be my best year yet!
I just had to share!
Well Happy Birthday!! Good on you! I'm so happy for you and your post is so encouraging!
Wishing you many more and may all your hopes and dreams come true

Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday, Happy Birthday, Happy Birthday to you.... Now I sang the song to you and hope it did not spoil your day. By the way, I no longer celebrate my birthday...I celebrate my conception day...I think I was a Valentines present for my dad, but at least I think they loved each other. Again congratulations on your progress so far and have a great day.
