I had rny on Dec. 4th so tomorrow I will be two weeks out. I have done great. No pain, nausea, problems drinking..anything. Until yesterday I have felt great. I've had tons of energy too. Day before yesterday i did over do it. I spent all day running around and cooking and was dead tired my that night. Yesterday i had mild nausea but no problems drinking etc but my feet were tingly. I unually sit weird in chairs and after awhile my feet will go numb but yesterday it was within a minute or two, Today i am dizzy, and same falling asleep feeling in feet but ive got it in my hands some. Mild nausea. Anyone have any ideas? My surgeon is 4 hours away so i cant pop in but i think i may call.

I just read all those symptoms in a book last night, Now don't freak out but ask to test your viatmin B1. It said it comes on fast when deficient. I am no way shape or form a doctor or experienced but read it last night.

Thiamin or somethign like that then it said after it B1.

Yes it comes on quick.  I had these symptoms at 2 weeks out and I was deficient in B-1.  In addition to the tingling I had foot drop.....one of the weirdest feelings I've ever experienced.

What is foot drop? If you don't mind me asking.

I'll try to explain it.  The easiest way I can explain what I experienced is the distance perception when lifting my foot and walking was "off".  Lifting my foot and stepped just was so uncoordinated, it's like I couldn't judge how high I was raising my foot when walking and when stepping down it seemed like I was high stepping.  Really, really weird.

Definitely call your surgeon.  You may need your B vitamins checked.  I had the tingly feet (not hands) within 2 weeks of surgery and my B-1 was low.  My surgeon had me add a separate B1 and extra B-12 (it was on the low side also).

Its really strange was just reading about it last night. Then come on here and open this blog. Glad I did. :)

It said to call surgeon Immediately because it can drop that fast, like less then a day so it will be all of the sudden.

Keep us posted.
