Wow....Fantastic news! I think the Cream is so much prettier myself.
I'm working on a project now called "Cosmic Ray Energetics And Mass" (CREAM), which will be hooking up to the International Space Station in 2014. So what do you think of the name Lora's Cosmos Chow.
According to Wiki:In the general sense, a Cosmos is an orderly or harmonious system. It originates from the Greek term κόσμος (kosmos), meaning "order" or "ornament"[1] and is antithetical to the concept of chaos. Today, the word is generally used as a synonym of the Latin loanword "Universe" (considered in its orderly aspect).

You could name him SexyKat after ME!
I will tell you a story...
Many years ago I got a Golden Retriever that I eventually named Summit.
Summit was from a litter of 13. All the puppies in the littler were blonde, which is the color I wanted, with the exception of Summit who was the only red.
As I was the first person to make an appointment, I was given pick of litter.
When I arrived there were puppies everywhere, and when I walked into the pin I was in Golden Retriever haven.
As I was looking at all the little blonde puppies, the little red one kept pushing them out of the way to make her way to me. She'd push her way to the front, and I'd pick her up and put her to the back as she was impeding my view of the other puppies, and to the one I thought I wanted.
After she had done this about three times, it finally dawned on me that I was not there to pick a puppy, I was there for a puppy to pick me. Summit had decided in her little puppy heart that I was to be her new mommy, so I let her choose me.
Summit was with me for just shy of 13 years and was one of the best friends I've ever had. She was smart as a whip, loyal, and loved me beyond anything or anyone. We were truly bonded at the soul level.
My point is, there is no such thing as coincidences, You are not getting a red puppy for a reason, and I think that reason may be because there is something so much better awaiting you...
Good luck with you new little one. I think you are on your way to a most wondrous journey.
And I am now off to catch my ship which will take me to the Bahamas today!!!
Yay!!!!! I can't wait for the 'baby' pictures I like the cream chows better, too. Maybe it is better that you ended up with a cream one as it will be quite different than your beloved Khan. I'm sure that you wouldn't see the new baby as a new Khan, but this way he has his own place in your life with him being a different color. (I hope that came across in the positive way that I mean it!!)

Wow, my intuition must be getting better.
I didn't TELL you this as you were going through this but I had a strong feeling this was how it was going to turn out. You loved Khan and you will miss him but I had this strong gut feeling that there was a reason you weren't getting your red one. I don't purport to know that reason but MY personal belief is that God was leading you in a different direction.
So anyway...congrats on your new baby! I am horrible at name suggestions so I await your choice. And hugs. I think it's really big of you to roll with the punches. I think this cream puppy will be a blessing to you.

Perhaps you are right. It occurred to me that it might be good that he is not a red so there is less inclination to compare him to Khan. Hopefully, I will have a similar bond with him as I had with Khan.
