Part of why I wanted to go through this surgery was because of my 4yo daughter. I wanted her to have the best mom I could be for her. Your post resonates with me, because during this postOp months it has been difficult to endure the hardships of the physical and emotional process while keeping up with her needs.  And kids are very observant to this things. They feel assured or anxious according to how they perceive you.

It's hard but one has to pick his/her battles wisely or as you say "fail at the right things".

Thank you for your post!

Wait until you find nude pics on her phone, then you really need to worry.  My sons phone needed to be reset by Verizon, so I had custody of it and checked his pictures on an impulse.  Omg nude pics of girls he met online, I lectured him on how these pics could ruin their lives, future etc, he said he would never show them to anyone.  Very scary, glad I have a boy and not a girl.  I would be very scared.

I remember years ago with his first girlfriend, she posted her cell number on MySpace and revealing pics.  This 40 something year old guy was calling her, she was 15, I took the phone from her and told him if he ever called again I would call the police and report him as a pedophile.  He said she said she was 18.  Omg her mother worked for DCF, she should have known better, but was clueless about online.  This girl grew up way to fast, she just got married at 21.
