For those of you 6+ Months out.. Feeling like you ate a lot but really didn't?

Lately I will go home from work and tell my boyfriend "wow, I ate sooo much today" and then start listing what you ate and realize it wasn't very much at all. I keep going through this almost daily. I'm just over a year out and I don't know if it's because I ate so little for the first 6 months or what.

Does anyone else go through this?

Sometimes I think that. I'm think, Man, I ate a lot today! Then I look at it compared to what I would eat before and I realize it's nothing compared to before. But compared to the first few months post op, it seems like so much more.

Yeah I will be thinking I totally pigged out and really hadn't had very much to eat at all. It's so weird.

I met up with a large group of friends for dinner on Saturday.  I ordered an appetizer which I quickly insisted someone share with me.  When the plates started to arrive my eyes bugged out of my head!

Just the sight of the amount of food on the plates freaked me out a little.  I can't believe there was a time when that portion size was not only "normal" but I'd order dessert too!!!

Not exactly, but, I realize now that no one ever educated me on how much our stomachs could hold or how much was enough.  My mother probably didn't know either.  I use a small cereal bowl that holds 1 cup and that is what I use for almost every meal.
